for the light
the why behind the title
This title is a crashing together of a lot of different moments in my life.

The for comes from a conversation with a friend who told me that so much of the world is fighting against something. She praised me for my ability to stand for my passions instead of against the world, and it remains one of the greatest compliments I've ever received. So, I decided if I am going to have a blog, I'd like it to be for something. For love, for light, and for the little moments that shine bright.

The light comes from the Son. God is truthfully the person illuminating all my life. Light also comes from a realization that the world often settles for shadows of what is true, good, and beautiful. Here's to seeing the little things in their full, luminous glory.

I had a blog when I was ten. I'd be as glad as you to find that thing on the world-wide web again and re-discover the hardships of being one decade old. Unfortunately, I don't even remember what my blog was called; fortunately, I have another decade under my belt to ramble about.
